THE JOSEPH V. CARUANA FOUNDATION

A not-for-profit dedicated to preventing drug addiction through the education of children, teens, and parents.

In his short 26 years, Joseph spent all his time spreading his passion and interest with the world. His true love was music. He was a trained classical pianist and self-taught rock guitarist and drummer. While at Staten Island Technical High school, he organized a “Battle of the Bands” to support a young girl with leukemia. Helping people was ingrained in him from a very young age and he would help anyone whenever he could. Joseph was also an avid reader and he was able to hold an intelligent conversation on virtually any topic imaginable. Joseph was deeply loved by all who knew him, most especially his family and friends. His passion and love of life lives on through us now.

Together, let's prevent drug addiction.

We will never know when our time is up. In the blink of an eye everything could change. Life is too short to waste living in fear, worry, hate, or resentment. All we can do is our best. We all have different paths to walk but are on this road together. Don’t forget to tell those you care about you love them and how much they mean to you. Remind them on a daily basis. It’s easy to be selfish in a world like ours but take care of your brothers and sisters. Spread the love. There is already too much hate. Be the light you were intended to be. Don’t practice jealousy. Never dull someone’s flame. Let’s build each other up and set this world ablaze.
